I love pretty much all art work. There is usually something positive I can find in everyone's piece. Even though I don't do a lot of paintings, I chose an artist who primarily works with oils and watercolors. Her name is Ginette Callaway and she has a somewhat similar style to Monet, who is one of my favorite artist. Her use of color is crazy good and I always go for those kinds of paintings even though most of my pieces have like no color. Another thing I like is the subtle textures that she creates because once you look close you can see a lot of time went into it. Also she seems to be inspired by the same things I am such as nature. I really like how creates so much life is her paintings but it could be just a simple flower.
I also like monet. Monet's work just commands you to stand there and think about what the piece means and analyze it, but then when you look at it again you come up with a thousand other things that are expressed through his work.
ReplyDeleteI love Monet as well. Liz I have seen some of Ginette Callaway's pieces, and she is very talented, created, and seems to be very determined in her watercolors as well as her other paintings.
